In a ray of light
I see your face
An image brought from my memory
exposed to the tip of my nerves
shaking all over from a single thought
that a period of time will be empty.
Although time is relative
— as are time and place —
there still remains that undefinable pain
of leaving something behind
that belongs to you.
Something that is torn off rudely
by the elapsing of that relative time,
but something that will be healed again
by that same elapsing relative time.
And in time,
physical time,
my feelings for you
will be timelessly caged
when I hold you in my arms.
